I have been nominated for, and won, awards for my teaching and student support at Edge Hill University and James Cook University. 

I have taught most core Psychology topics but specialise in:

 

1. ​Research Methods

  • Including experimental design, questionnaire design, interviews, focus groups, observation, content analysis, research ethics, sampling, and APA style report writing.

 

2. ​Statistics and Data Analysis

  • Including t-tests, ANOVA, correlation, regression, categorical data analysis, non-parametric tests, effect size, and power​.

 

3. ​Cognitive Psychology

  • Including memory, face and object recognition, attention, problem solving, creativity, reasoning, and language.​

 

4. ​Memory ​in the Real World

  • This is an elective focusing on applied aspects of memory research. Topics include ​eyewitness memory, autobiographical memory, flashbulb memory, involuntary memory, prospective memory, and memory disorders.
